What Are Knotless Braids?
Knotless braids are a modern evolution of the classic box braid. Instead of starting each braid with a knot anchored directly onto the natural hair, the stylist begins with your own hair and gradually feeds in extension hair as they braid downward. This eliminates the knot at the root.
The result is a flatter, more natural-looking part line, significantly less tension on the scalp and edges, and a style that sits closer to the head — making it lighter and more comfortable to wear, especially during Mauritius’s warm climate.

Knotless braids are available in multiple sizes (small, medium, large and jumbo), in straight or curved parting, and can be combined with highlights, colour extensions, or curly ends for a boho finish. Duration typically ranges from 4 to 8 hours depending on size and length.

Common Questions
Do knotless braids hurt?
Not when done correctly. The absence of a knot at the root means there’s no sudden tension at installation. Our stylists are trained to braid at a level that is firm enough to last but gentle enough to protect your edges and scalp comfort throughout the session.
How long do knotless braids last?
With proper maintenance — oiling the scalp every 2–3 days, covering hair at night with a silk scarf, and avoiding excessive manipulation — knotless braids typically last 6 to 10 weeks before needing to be redone.
Do you supply the extensions?
Yes. We supply quality kanekalon and human hair blend extensions at an additional cost. You are also welcome to bring your own extensions — just let us know the brand and colour in advance so we can advise on quantity.
Can you do knotless braids at my hotel?
